Why I Built AI Scapes Studio: The Gap I Kept Falling Into as an Interior Architect

I've been an interior architect in Dubai for 16 years now !

I know how to read a space. I know how to brief a client, develop a concept, specify

materials, and deliver a project. That part I've always been confident in.

What I wasn't confident in — until recently — was AI.

Not because I didn't try. I tried everything. Midjourney, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion. I generated images. Some were beautiful. Most were useless. And I couldn't figure out why.

So I went deep on my own. I spent months inside ComfyUI — a node-based AI workflow platform used by Netflix, Amazon, and Ubisoft — learning how it actually works. Not just how to use it, but how to think with it.

And that changed everything.

The renders got better. The concepts got faster. The client presentations became something different — not just images, but spatial narratives generated with precision and intent.

But more importantly, I understood something that I don't see being said enough:

The tool doesn't make the designer. The designer makes the tool.

AI Models will keep improving. Interfaces will change. But the quality of the human leading the process — the clarity of their brief, the strength of their spatial thinking, the precision of their prompt — that is what separates extraordinary AI output from generic noise.
